What is a Number Line?
A Number Line is a straight line on which real numbers are written in equal intervals as a way of ordering them. Whole numbers can be represented on a number line separately from negative numbers
Steps in Writing Whole Numbers on a Number Line
The following steps can be followed in writing whole numbers on a number line:
Step 1. Draw a straight line
Step 2, Make equal intervals of numbers using short division marks. That is, use short marks to divide the lines into equal parts
Step 3. Provide the numbers on the number line appropriately ensuring that the same unit applies equal distances
Step 4. Insert the arrowhead moving rightwards to show they are all positive numbers (Note negative numbers can be drawn a number line too)
