Nokia parent company HMD Global announced a huge Nokia phone revamp earlier this year, and now the company has officially announced that the first rugged and adventurous “life-proof” phone X-series XR20 Nokia phone will soon be released. Nokia claims its latest phone 5G Android phone is ‘Life-Proof’.
Features of the latest XR20 ‘Life Proof’ phone
1. The latest Nokia X-Series phone has drop protection including MIL-STD-810H compliance and an IP68 certification rugged credentials. The XR20 can supposedly survive a 1.8m drop. That is, it can be dropped off from a height up to six feet without a case. It was built to withstand life’s roughness and tumble.
2. The Nokia XR20 rugged 5G mobile phone can also withstand extreme temperature and also survives one hour underwater as well as wet hands and glove compatibility
3. Like the best Android phones from Samsung and OnePlus, the Nokia XR20 also comes with the promise of three major Android updates and four years of monthly security updates. Other robust features abound.

All in all, the XR20 is an attractive package with specs that outdoes many of the best rugged Android phones on the market. It has been priced at $550 and will be available to purchase in the U.S. from August 24 for a cost of $550 – the most expensive phone in Nokia’s updated portfolio
The teaser which HMD/Nokia dropped on Twitter last week hints the XR20 which boasts solid specs and potentially better durability than other mid-range handsets is an attempt to live up to the legendary durability offered by Nokia’s old feature phones.
