8 countries you’ll soon not travel to if not fully vaccinated. The list is expected to grow as the UK may soon join in the vaccine mandate

Countries are requiring travellers to get booster shots or vaccinated “too long ago” and others setting an expiration date on their vaccine passports before you are allowed to enter

Vaccinated travellers planning to travel abroad in the coming months may be vigilant unless they get full vaccination (two doses of COVID-19 vaccine and the booster vaccine shots) as more countries use booster vaccines and mandate their use. Several popular European resorts have already announced that two injections without the booster shots may not be enough, News Australia citing The Sun’s report.

While some countries have already confirmed that travelers cannot enter the country unless they are revaccinated, other countries currently set an expiration date on their vaccine passports, requiring travelers vaccinated “too long ago” to be vaccinated in order to enter the country.

The list is likely to grow as UK Transport Minister, Grant Sapps, warns that British and international travelers are “inevitably” the chance to take a triple risk if they want to go on vacation abroad.

COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate: 8 countries that will not allow non-fully vaccinated travellers

Here are 8 countries that are already considering introducing coronavirus boosters for international arrivals and will soon not allows the travellers if they are not fully vaccinated:

1. Austria

The double dose rule applies in Austria, which means that your current vaccine passport is valid for 270 days after the second dose. However, from February 1, this period must be reduced to 180 days (only 6 months) and a second vaccination must be administered.

2. Belgium

Belgium has significantly reduced the time it takes to receive a booster dose for people who have had a double immunization. From March 1st, the vaccination certificate is only valid for 150 days after the second dose, so people will only have 5 months to get the booster dose. The Belgian Advisory Board said, “This means that people who received a single dose (Janssenman) or two doses (Pfizer/Bioentek, Moderna, AstraZeneca/Oxford) before 1 October must receive a booster dose by 1 March. It means doing it,” he said. “Otherwise the vaccination certificate will expire.”

3. France

Vaccinated travelers can enter France, but not those who have been vaccinated more than 7 months ago. From January 15th, all travelers who have been vaccinated for more than 7 months are now required to present proof of revaccination to enter the country. On 5 January, Greek Health Minister Thanos Plevirs announced that the vaccination certificate is only valid for 7 months after the last vaccination. Anyone who has not been vaccinated within 7 months is considered unvaccinated. This rule does not currently affect Australians as vaccination is not required to enter Greece. They only need to show evidence of a negative coronavirus test. However, these rules could change in the coming months, so travelers planning a vacation in Greece should keep an eye out.
