A tech user who is not conversant with such a product might ask, ‘’what is Google Lens?’’, ‘’How does it work?’’, “How can I get, activate or use Google lens in my Android or iPhone?’’

Google Search is quite useful when you know the name of what you’re searching for. But what if you don’t know it – like names of buildings, flowers, or any object? That’s where Google Lens comes in!

Tapping the Lens icon in Google Assistant takes you through to the same view you get directly in the Google Lens app.
A user can access Google Lens available in the Photos app if he wants to find more information about an existing picture on his smartphone.
Within Google Photos, Google Lens can identify buildings or landmarks, for instance, presenting users with directions and opening hours of businesses and shops. It will also be able to present information on a famous work of art or colossus monument, among others.

Step 3: Tap the Lens icon below the screen.
Alternatively, Google Lens might suggest what to scan on the image based on its context. For example, you might see “Copy text from image” below the picture.
The lens can identify buildings, copy texts, scan QR codes, or anything according to the context of the image.
If a user comes across an object (image) while surfing the web on Chrome Browser, he can easily find more info about it using Google Lens without taking a screenshot of it or send it anywhere.
You can scan the image right away using the Google Lens Chrome feature.

Google Lens is fast and clever, making you see and understand what objects are, but one of the disadvantages of Google Lens t is that it is not always accurate.
There are a number of different ways Google Lens may stop working that may not be due to design problems or disadvantages. The lens may simply not work the way it’s supposed to and identify objects within images, or it might not even start up and, instead, display an error message of some kind to the user – or one of half a dozen different things.
