Man landscaping the lawn of his yard bought 4 years ago finds $1,000 in cash buried in 1934.
A man who was landscaping the lawn of his yard bought 4 years ago has found $1,000 in cash buried in 1934, in this weird news report. A man who lives on the Jersey Shore got a big surprise last week while doing some landscaping in his yard. Landscaping is the act of improving the aesthetic appearance of (a piece of land) by changing its contours, and planting trees and shrubs, among others.
Rich Gilson said he found $1,000 buried on his Wildwood property, with the bundles of $10 and $20 bills wrapped in brown paper. All of the money was dated to be from 1934.
Gilson and his wife, Suzanne, purchased the home four years ago with the intention of raising and renovating it. As he was working outside in a mini excavator, he uncovered the money that was wrapped up under the front lawn, and immediately brought it in for his wife to see.
The couple wasn’t sure how much money was actually there, as the bills were wet. After letting the paper dry out overnight, they found out just how much they had found.

Experts advise dog owners to use 70p trick to keep their dogs cool all through the summer heatwave
Experts have been sharing how dog owners can keep their pets cool when temperatures reach the high 20C or low 30C this summer – and it doesn’t have to cost much money. Keeping dogs hydrated and cool at home in heatwaves is vital and with temperatures set to reach above 30C, it couldn’t be more important.
Older dogs or brachycephalics, otherwise known as flat-faced dogs, tend to be more sensitive to extreme temperatures. Heatstroke is very common and can cause significant acute and chronic health issues.
Dog owners who have been looking into ways to keep their pets cool as temperatures soar across many cities in the US and Europe this summer, with many going out and buying costly cooling pads or paddling pools would find this cool tip cheaper.
The experts claim a 70p misting spray bottle filled with icy-cold water will do just as well.
A spokeswoman from retail company Tap Warehouse said: “Keep your pets cool with a spray bottle filled with cold water and gently spray over their body and feet.
“This will give a cooling effect and relax your pets as some can get distressed when they overheat. Better yet, reusable spray bottles can be bought for just 70p from The Range.”

On TikTok, she said: “Why does it keep happening? Workers came to the wrong house again.”, recalling last year’s ‘garden incident’, which went viral on TikTok, Chloe was certain that the builders were not from the same company.

The ice cream pops are offered by the artist collective MSCHF and sold via food trucks in New York City and Santa Monica, California. The popsicles are proving popular: they sold out Tuesday in New York, Bloomberg reported.
Aside from Musk and Bezos, customers can purchase frozen treats shaped like Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jack Ma. The snacks have tongue-in-cheek names like Snack on Jack, Bite Bezos, Gobble Gates, Suck Zuck, and Munch Musk. Advertising depicts headshots of well-known billionaires alongside their icy likenesses.
