According to the Eduonwheels’ Teen crime Weird News Blog Post of Today, 31 December 2022, reported by All That is Interesting news media, Isabella Guzman brutally murdered her mother Yun Mi Hoy inside their Aurora, Colorado home by stabbing her 79 times and became an internet sensation.
The beautiful teen girl whose act stunned the family described her as “sweet” and “good-hearted.”
According to the media report, Isabella Guzman lived with her biological father, Robert Guzman, from seven until became a teenage girl and returned to her mother with continued struggle with her behavioural issues after dropping out of school and her relationship with her mother deteriorated quickly. According to her stepfather, Ryan Hoy, Isabella Guzman became “more threatening and disrespectful” toward her mother.
How Isabella Guzman murdered her mum
On the night she killed her, Yun Mi Hoy arrived home from work around 9:30 p.m. and went upstairs to take a shower only for Isabella to enter the bathroom with her and stabbed her mother with a knife. Her stepfather, Ryan Hoy, who rushed upstairs just in time to see Isabella Guzman slamming the bathroom door shut after hearing a bang and blood-curdling screams, tried in vain to push through as Guzman had locked it and was pushing against the other side.
She left the bathroom with a bloody knife without saying a word to Roy, leaving her mother, Yun Mi Hoy, naked on the floor with a baseball bat beside her, covered in stab wounds in a pool of blood, and fled the house.
Police officers found her in a nearby parking garage the next afternoon after launching a manhunt, her pink sports bra and turquoise shorts still covered in her mother’s blood, after committing the crime.
Investigators later found that her throat had been slashed and she’d been stabbed at least 79 times in the head, neck, and torso.
The incident took place on August 28, 2013.
During the trial case in court, Guzman pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. She had been hospitalized for 7 years ever since the crime. She hadn’t even realized she was stabbing her mother, a doctor testified, and that she was suffering from schizophrenia and had experienced delusions for years. Rather, Guzman thought she’d killed a woman named Cecelia in order to save the world. The judge accepted Guzman’s plea of not guilty by reason of insanity and sent her to the Colorado Mental Health Institute in Pueblo, where he ordered her to stay until she was no longer a danger to herself or her community.
Isabella Guzman had no idea she would soon be internet famous due to her strange court appearance.
In 2020, various TikTok users began posting videos from Guzman’s 2013 arraignment.
