Microsoft Corporation has adopted and published Windows app store policies in 10 principles as commitments to developers.
The software technology giant has decided to make firm commitments to the future of app stores on Windows, including that it won’t block competing app stores on the tech platform or block specific business models an app may use to make money as well keeping its own apps to the same standards as other competing apps and an obligation to “charge reasonable fees” that are insightful of competing for app stores on Windows.

These new principles are a clear response to app store issues surrounding both Apple and Google since Microsoft made it clear its new app store policies are directed at Apple.
There is also growing concern from tech developers – Spotify, Epic Games, Tile, Match, and others over Apple’s App Store policies that many believe restrict competition, against Apple, calling for “a level playing field for app businesses” and to the provision of freedom of choice on Apple product devices.
