2 most important learning factors and ideas in education
There is now more demand for 21st-century education and academic competence for both technological advancement and human and resource efficiency. Many schools, in response to the call, devote more study time for learning through having extra lessons to achieve the target of future goals.
This idea looks perfect to me in clear terms but the effort and time might not be worthwhile if the individual student’s if these two factors that determine students’ learning of new facts are lacking – intrinsic motivation and meeting the needs and interests of the students and learners.
There are so many education ideas but students’ intrinsic motivation and striving to meet the individual needs of different students and learners stand out as two of the two most important ideas in education. The basics in education are unavoidably important to ensure students’ learning.

1. Meeting the needs of students
Meeting the needs of all the students in a classroom, for example, requires the teacher be conversant with the learning capacities and physical and mental health (health condition) of each student and socio-cultural situation of the classroom.
A good teacher also knows how to meet the needs of all categories of learners in a classroom even though one of the most difficult tasks and important role of a teacher is learning how to motivate the students.
The teacher should be able to capture the attention and interest of all categories of students – those whose needs draw the teacher’s attention or are visible and shy, introverted, and more conformist students whose needs are rather unnoticeable. An unmotivated student may experience learning difficulties through a lack of participation and retention of information.
A good teacher seeks information about students’ special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to have a better understanding of how to meet the student’s needs.
2. Intrinsic motivation for learning
The second most important idea in education that determines students’ learning of new facts is intrinsic motivation. Learning becomes a commitment to personal achievement and coordinates with real-world activities when the motivation of the student to it is present especially when it is intrinsic.
Intrinsic motivation is being engaged because they want to be engaged. Intrinsic motivation for learning is being self-motivated and having a natural or self-driven desire for learning. As a function of classroom behaviour, essential conceptions in intrinsic motivation such as interest in learning, involvement, curiosity, and engagement all carry the inference that the students and learners have become actively involved with the content, or some aspect of the content, of the learning activity.
Intrinsic motivation to learning is extremely basic considering designing an effective classroom and wide-learning involvements. It essentially promotes processes with unlimited learning options and avoids making the students feel controlled and coerced, and focuses mostly on problem-solving.
Right from the nursery preschool through higher education institutions – colleges and universities, schoolchildren and students across the globe appear to lack the drive to become successful learners because of a lack of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation.
The lack of motivation students show in the classroom is reflected in their overall study habits. Expect avoidance tendencies from learners if intrinsic and extrinsic motivation lacks in a home classroom or school classroom.
A student who lacks extrinsic motivation may be influenced by externally-characterized social issues. A student who lacks intrinsic motivation may appear to be bored, have self-confidence issues, lack personal goals and interests in learning, or feel they are not being challenged to their ability or performance level in learning and, in that way impedes opportunities for both positive learning and development of positive attitudes as well as future academic success.
However important and learning-stimulating extrinsic motivation is, the emphasis in learning must shift from extrinsic to intrinsic motivation because the social factors that drive extrinsic motivation may not be assured all the time learning is taking place, and if it happens, will the student not learn? Why would education fees be paid if learning does not take place? What is the essence of teaching in education?
